About SkillsBoard
We rank creative skill across every craft. Not popularity, not followers, not cultural moment — skill. Photographers, painters, musicians, comedians, chefs, DJs, dancers, podcasters, and more — one platform, one standard.
Every creative field has always had popularity contests. What none of them have ever had is a chart built around craft. Streaming numbers tell you what played in the background. Follower counts tell you who went viral. Neither tells you anything about the quality of what was made.
SkillsBoard exists to fill that gap. We score creators across technical skill categories specific to their craft — and publish ranked charts every week. Whether you are a photographer, a hip-hop artist, a comedian, a chef, or a DJ, your craft deserves to be measured on its own terms.
We are not trying to replace taste. Taste is personal and that is fine. We are trying to give the conversation about craft a shared language — one precise enough to be useful and transparent enough to be challenged.
Skill Over Hype
Chart position reflects technical accomplishment, not cultural momentum. Going viral does not move your rank. Mastering your craft does.
Transparency
Every score is traceable. The categories are defined, the criteria are published, and the reasoning behind each ranking is open to scrutiny. If you disagree, you should be able to point to exactly what you think is wrong.
Respect for the Craft
We believe technical skill in every creative craft deserves to be measured carefully. Not because it is the only thing that matters, but because it is the thing most often left unmeasured.
Independence
No label affiliations. No brand partnerships. No sponsored rankings. Our only obligation is to the accuracy of the chart — across every creative field we cover.
SkillsBoard is an independent creative ranking publication. We cover music, visual arts, performance, media and content creation, culinary arts, and production. We are not affiliated with any label, agency, streaming platform, or industry body. No one on the team has a financial stake in any creator's chart position. We are critics, enthusiasts, and people who believe the most interesting conversation in any creative field is the one about craft — and that it deserves a dedicated record.
