How We Score Across Six Crafts — A Plain-Language Breakdown

This analysis is part of our ongoing editorial coverage of the artists and skills shaping music right now. Our panel reviews new material on a rolling basis, and scores are updated weekly to reflect the most current body of work.
Methodology Note
All scores on the SkillsBoard are derived from a weighted combination of panel critique, community voting, and algorithmic analysis of output across the trailing 12 months. Artists must have released qualifying material within the period to be eligible. Individual skill scores feed into the overall ranking through a weighted formula that reflects the relative difficulty and rarity of each skill.
